Privacy Policy

Last updated: October 4, 2026

Barktive is operated by Sinan Digital, Inc ("we", "us"). This policy explains what personal information we collect when you visit barktive.com or place an order, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.

1. Information We Collect

Information you give us. When you place an order we collect your name, email address, shipping address, phone number, and the details of what you bought. If you contact us, we keep the messages you send.

Mobility check answers. If you use our dog mobility check, we keep your answers about your dog (name, size, age band, the signs you ticked and current joint support). If you choose to give us your email address there, we store it with those answers and use it to send you your dog's plan and related Barktive emails. Every email includes a way to unsubscribe, and you can ask us to delete your answers at any time.

Payment information. Payments are processed by Stripe. Your card number is entered directly into Stripe's secure payment form and never passes through or is stored on our servers. We receive only a confirmation of payment and the last four digits of the card.

Information collected automatically. When you browse the site we record page views, the pack you selected, and checkout steps you reached, along with your device type, browser, approximate country, and the page that referred you. This is stored under a random identifier in your browser and is not tied to your name unless you complete a purchase.

2. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to process and ship your order, send order confirmations and shipping updates, respond to your questions and refund requests, prevent fraud, understand how visitors use the site so we can improve it, and measure the results of our advertising.

3. Text Messages

If you give us your mobile number at checkout, we may send you text messages about your order, such as shipping and delivery updates. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to any message to opt out at any time.

4. Who We Share It With

We share personal information only with service providers who need it to do their job for us:

Stripe processes payments. Our fulfillment partner receives your name, shipping address, phone number, and order contents to pack and ship your order. Shipping carriers receive your address and phone number to deliver it. Vercel hosts the website. Neon hosts our order database.

We use the Meta Pixel and Meta Conversions API to measure the effectiveness of our advertising on Facebook and Instagram. Meta may receive information about your visit, such as pages viewed, items added to the cart, and purchases made. When you complete a purchase, we also send Meta a server-side record of the order that includes your email address, phone number, name, and address in hashed (irreversibly scrambled) form, along with your IP address and browser identifiers, so that Meta can match the purchase to an ad without receiving your readable contact details. Meta may combine this with data it already holds. You can learn more and adjust your preferences in Meta's ad settings.

We use PostHog (data hosted in the EU) for product analytics: it records how visitors use the site, such as pages viewed, clicks, the pack selected and checkout steps, and may record your session (mouse movement, scrolling and clicks) so we can find and fix problems with the site. Text you type into form fields is masked and not recorded, and card details are entered in Stripe's secure form, which is never recorded. When you give us your email address at checkout or in our dog mobility check, PostHog links your visit to that email address so we can understand which pages lead to orders.

We may also disclose information when required by law, or to protect our rights, our customers, or the public. We do not sell your personal information.

5. Cookies and Similar Technologies

Our own first-party analytics use browser storage rather than cookies. PostHog uses a first-party cookie and browser storage to recognize returning visitors and keep a session together. Stripe and Meta set their own cookies to operate the payment form and measure advertising. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the checkout may not work if Stripe's cookies are blocked.

6. How Long We Keep It

We keep order records for as long as needed to fulfill your order, handle refunds under our 90-day guarantee, and meet tax and accounting obligations, which is generally 7 years. Anonymous site analytics are kept for up to 24 months.

7. Your Rights

You can ask us to show you the personal information we hold about you, correct it, or delete it. Residents of California and certain other US states have additional rights under state privacy laws, including the right to know what information we collect and the right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information. We do not sell personal information, and we will not discriminate against you for exercising your rights. Residents of the UK and EU have rights under the GDPR, including the rights to access, correct, delete, and port their data, and to object to certain processing.

To exercise any of these rights, email info@barktive.com. We'll respond within 30 days.

8. Security

All traffic to the site is encrypted with HTTPS. Order data is stored in a database with access restricted to authorized staff. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.

9. Children

Our site is intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it was last changed. Material changes will be posted on this page.
